Dr Klaus Leschner - CHOC

CHOC do truly amazing work. When children are diagnosed with cancer, they embark on a very long journey with prolonged and difficult treatment programs far away from home. CHOC help children and their families on their journey, providing a home away from home with outstanding emotional and practical support. This has become even more vital with the COVID pandemic and deteriorating government facilities.

I have been so lucky to be able to swim in open water (something I love) and to support CHOC for many years at the Charity 8 Mile Challenge at Midmar Mile. The CHOC swimmers have grown in number. We are a crazy fun group with a singular purpose. Many friendships have been forged and special experiences shared, but most importantly we have been able to help CHOC continue to do, what it does so well.
