The Season That Brought the aQuelle Midmar Family Together
The 2025/26 aQuellé Midmar Open Water Season reached its defining moment with an unforgettable 53rd aQuellé Midmar Mile weekend.
From our inspiring Charity Challenge swimmers taking on the 8- and 16-Mile swims for causes greater than themselves, to thousands of swimmers — first-timers, veterans, families, teams and elite athletes — standing together at the water’s edge, the Midmar spirit was stronger than ever.
Every crossing told a story. Every finish line mattered. From podium performances to personal victories, the power of the Midmar community was on full display.
And now, we look ahead.
The 54th aQuellé Midmar Mile takes place on 13–14 February 2027, supported by an expanded calendar of seeding events — offering more opportunities than ever to be part of the world’s largest open water swim.
The journey continues. The aQuelle Midmar family grows.
