CHARITY CHALLENGE
Since 2016, aQuellé Midmar Mile Swimmers have been raising funds for charitable causes. With only 120 swimmers in that first year, just over R1 million was distributed to seven large and 11 smaller charities.
In 2023, the initiative gathered 212 individual swimmers for Charity 8-Mile and 21 individual swimmers for Charity 16-Mile. For the 50th Edition we also had eight teams raising funds across the charities.
Bring us to present day and our 11th Midmar Mile Charity Challenge on 5th and 6th February 2026, with 8 Charities for Individual swimmers to choose from. These swimmers will be swimming either 8 or 16 miles and raising money for one of our official Charities presented below.
Please note Happy Bundles is the sole charity affiliated to the 16-Mile event.
Every Charity is able to have 8-mile swimmers.
