CHARITY CHALLENGE
Since 2016, aQuellé Midmar Mile has been raising funds for charitable causes. With only 120 swimmers in that first year, just over R1 million was distributed to seven large and 11 smaller charities.
In 2023, the initiative gathered 212 individual swimmers for Charity 8-Mile and 21 individual swimmers for Charity 16-Mile. For the 50th Edition we also had eight teams raising funds across the charities.
Our 52nd Edition of the Charity Challenge in 2025 will mainly cater for individual swimmers but if you have a team of up to four swimmers we can consider their entry into either Charity 8-Mile or Charity 16-Mile. Each team member would need to pay the entry fee but the team is collectively responsible for raising the necessary funds for charity.
Happy Bundles continues to be the sole charity affiliated to the 16-Mile swimmers but they are pleased to also add 8-Mile swimmers to their team this coming year.
