The World’s Largest Open Water Swim event

The 2025/26 aQuellé Midmar Open Water Season is gathering serious momentum. With our early seeding events now behind us, the focus shifts firmly to the final build-up — and the excitement is unmistakable.

Next up, we head straight into the 2026 Prime View Swim Festival, the last major stepping stone before Midmar Mile weekend. For many swimmers, it’s the final chance to fine-tune preparation, secure seeding, and soak up the unique energy that only AQuelle Midmar season brings.

All roads now lead to the iconic 53rd aQuellé Midmar Mile on 7–8 February, where thousands of swimmers — first-timers, veterans, families, teams and elites alike — will once again stand together at the water’s edge.
Add to that our fearless Charity Challenge athletes, who will take on their extraordinary 8- and 16-Mile missions in the days leading into the event, and it’s clear: the build-up to Midmar Mile weekend is well and truly alive.
The countdown is on — and the magic is just getting started.
